change to student loan - insurance uni

DS is going to his insurance uni, but his student loan finance documentation is all for his first choice. Does he need to reapply, or do they automatically transfer it to the new place?

They can just change the course.

You have to tell them though

Happened to my DD. Student Finance will not know unless you notify them. Fairly sure we did ours online to ensure that tuition fees were paid to the right institution. Happens to thousands of students so not a problem, but there may be some delay before it is all sorted because of the volume of people being sorted.

Thank you. DS has just logged on to his student finance account and changed the course. They said it could take up to 6 weeks to process though!

Does anyone know if his Student Support Number will stay the same as he needs this for various documentation & registration with the Uni?
