That's all.

Not sure if this is helpful , it will disappear if not. But have seen a few questions related to this. Am happy to give DS's experience (dyslexia) if it helps.

eatyourveg Do you know if there was a ££ amount and number of hours specified in your DS's DSA award for his mentor time?

My DS had 2 x 1hr pw @ £60ph sessions specified in his award when he went to Uni 2 years ago. He then dropped out, took a gap year and re-applied to another Uni to do a different course, which he started in Sept. His new DSA award only covers the cost of extra printing costs (he still has all the computer software from the 1st time around) but said he needed to contact the Uni re mentor support. As has been typical with DS throughout his life, he refuses to ask for the extra help and so now isn't getting any extra support. When he was at Uni the 1st time he did at least meet up with his mentor as it was all pre-arranged and he is fairly compliant (except when I ask him to do something like sort out extra support )

DD had an hour a week, but I had to chase it up for her, as she'd never have organised it herself. She hasn't had the first one yet though, nor has she had her software training.

Yes it states a cost for each mentor and the number of hours pw.

HSMMaCM DS had his 1st part of his software training at home when they delivered his laptop, the week before he went away. He was then funded for a follow up session. As he was at Uni off the UK mainland, the company who were supposed to provide the training said they couldn't do it - even though it was his 1st choice Uni and was on his funding application when they did his assessment!

He's actually quite IT savvy and set everything up himself anyway. He spent ages training the voice regognition software but has never used it as he can touch type anyway (did a course in Yr5 at school) and as all lectures are posted on-line, he didn't use the note taking software either.
