Student finance if you have a P.G.C.E

Does anyone know if you can apply for student finance, if you already have a P.G.C.E? I did my P.G.C.E 18 years ago (so know I cannot apply for a credit transfer because of this) and am wanting to study again.
Perhaps there are certain courses only where there is available SF?

What do you want to study? There are some exceptions to the rule but for the most part you cannot get a fee loan if you're doing another full time degree. Part time study of a STEM degree is eligible though.

What is a STEM degree titchy? I was considering law or criminology.

Ah Science, Tech, Engineering and and Maths..
Oh well, at least I know what the situation is financially now.

You could also get funding for a Masters

The set of rules that you will be affected by are called the Equivalent or Lower Qualification (ELQ) rules. There are some exceptions, but in most cases you won't be able to get further funding for UG study.

Yep, started last year Nasreen. Loans up to £10,000 :)

What are you studying Triptrap (if you don't mind me asking?). Same terms and conditions as an UG loan in that you don't pay back until you are earning a certain salary/low interest? How are you finding study? I haven't studied in nearly 20 years, but feel the brain needs a kick start right now, That said, I don't want to just study anything, particularly as I don't have a job at the moment (another story).
