Summer jobs abroad

Slightly off-topic but my 18 year old student DD would like to work abroad in Europe from end June to early September and asked me to see if I can find some options which are genuine ( there seem to be quite a few dodgy-looking websites which take your money and say they will find you a job once you get to the destination...)
Can anyone recommend some companies or websites that their DC have had good experiences of?

My dc haven't done this, but to rescue you from 'unanswered messages' Grin.........

Has she tried......
Out door ed type companies... Venture Abroad, PGL, etc.
Hotel Chains......
Travel Companies......
directly, rather than looking at agencies?

Or language schools? Language Assistants ? Au Pair Agencies?

(Depending on what it is she wants to do I suppose).

"Abroad" is quite a vague objective.

What do they want to do? Assume it is more about experience rather than earning? Camp America, Au Pair work?

Pipilangstrumpf · 24/01/2017 14:06

In which country/language do they want to work?

My cousin's dd worked as a travel company rep in Ibiza (my idea of hell!). My sisters got work in Holland in plant nurseries. No idea how these things were arranged though.

Decide on a country/region and a couple of possible jobs as an example, then it's easier for the rest of us to come up with something that's not totally off the chart.

There are two websites here which look possibles. I have to stress that we have not used them, but I found them on the Futurewise website, so I assume they are bona fide.

My daughter used Au Pair World to get a summer's work as an au pair with a lovely Italian family. She also used Boost My French to get a month's receptionist work in a French hostel.

If they want to go back o North America try BUNAC. Camp America is fab but CHECK THE DATES, they usually need people to be in the USA quite early, know this has clashed with a level exams...you can google for those dates by exam boards...
