St Andrews or Exeter for History?

My daughter can't decide between the two, and I can't really advise her as I never went to university.

When I was at St Andrews you could choose to do a degree in Modern History, Medieval History or Scottish History - Ancient History too I think - still looks as though it's the case from a quick Google. So I wouldn't worry about the Scottish modules - you have to actually choose them.

I studied History at St Andrews. It was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Seem to be a few St Andrews graduates on this thread. Having done history and English there (many years ago) and with a dc at Exeter I'd be hard pushed to choose between the two.

Though if medieval history's your thing - St Andrews all the way.
