As the title threads says really- a bit nervous not worked for 3 years , never had an interview for a college place before - but I suppose this is the norm with Childcare course isn't it ?

Any tips ?

A level 3 is equivalent (sort of ) to A levels. Do you have GCSE maths and/or English? These are usually the starting points.

When I interview people for college places (though not childcare) it's usually a case of exploring whether or not the prospective student knows what the course is about, whether or not they can cope and whether they have the appropriate educational background to be able to pass.

The fact that you have children can only be a factor in your favour. Where are you applying?

Educated to A Level standard, GCSE math & english, internal promotion exams etc.

Applying to Kingston College

You'll breeze through then.

The only person I know at Kingston is in the Business studies department. Good luck.

Thanks Slug, will let you know how it goes
