Mentors for final year leading to job applications

Does anybody have experience of having a mentor to support graduates into a career / job market.

23 year old Ds in final year - he may come out with a 2:2 but really needs help to apply for jobs, graduate schemes or interns. His lack of concentration means that he gives up very quickly on applications or even searching. I think he has ADD but he refuses to find out.

I thought a mentor might be of help - but didn't know how to go about finding a reputable one.

I forgot to say he is a Business management and Economics Student - but still isn't sure what he wants to do. He is stronger on economics than finance

23? Isn't this the age he should do everything himself? You can't find a mentor to help him do his work once he has got a job, can you?

DD3 is also 23 and in her final year. She is Dyspraxic and also has another learning difficulty. In one or her lectures they have been going through how to do CVs for graduate schemes and jobs relating to her degree. They have also been encouraged to get in touch with the university careers team who will look through Application forms and Cvs for them and give them advice on what they should be applying for. She can also speak to her personal tutor for support.
All these things should be available at your DS's university. Ask him if he has contacted the careers team or spoken to one of his tutors.

Surely the uni offers this support? Running workshops etc?
