Continuing Roisin and Molio's thread, just wanted a space in the last week before results for people to post their anxieties, and hopefully, come 13th August, also post their good news about their DDs and DSs. A place for celebration and commiseration.

English system here Lightbulb.

Yes quite Hocus. DS and I checked his current password on UCAS this morning so that if I opt to log on to see the outcome I don't run the risk of locking him out, in case he needs access for clearing. There's a prominent notice about Track not functioning between the 7th and 12th, while results are processed. Not a nice feeling.

Decorhate · 12/08/2015 16:32

Hi all. Got back late last night from our holiday (flight delayed), hardly slept then work today. At least it's been a distraction! I have a feeling I won't sleep much tonight, whatever about dd!

Sherlockholmes221b · 13/08/2015 05:59

Nervously waiting for the UCAS tracker to update!

MarianneSolong · 13/08/2015 07:29

Daughter has got onto Track and discovered she has a place at Cambridge.

MrsBartlet · 13/08/2015 07:31

Congrats Marianne. Dd's place at Cambridge confirmed, too. Good luck to those waiting.

MarianneSolong · 13/08/2015 07:35

All our marvellous children have done well, whatever news they'll get this morning. And they all have proud, caring parents.

At the least the waiting is over/nearly over.

Glad that this thread exists/has existed. (Which can't be said for all Mumsnet thread.) Off to eat very large bacon sarnie!

roisin · 13/08/2015 07:55

Congrats to MrsBartlet dd and MarianneSolong dd.

ds1 has his Oxford place confirmed: off to collect grades later.
Hope today brings good news for everyone else.
(So relieved we are not spending today faffing about on clearing or trying to find accommodation at 2nd choice uni!)

HocusUcas · 13/08/2015 07:57

Ds confirmed here - Oxford.
Congratulations to those confirmed and all the very best of luck to everyone else.
Hocus.

Sherlockholmes221b · 13/08/2015 08:02

Daughters place confirmed at Oxford Smile Good luck to everyone waiting for news today.

AtiaoftheJulii · 13/08/2015 08:05

Just got a message from dd - Oxford place confirmed Grin about to go and meet her at school to find out her grades.

MrsBartlet · 13/08/2015 08:15

Great news everyone!

Classicsgirl · 13/08/2015 08:26

Another huge sigh of relief here as DDs place confirmed at Oxford! The grade boundaries yesterday spooked me out (90% raw marks score for an A in English but 57% for A in Biology? Go figure...) so hugely relieved.

Molio · 13/08/2015 08:35

Very glad indeed to hear of all the successes. I'm hugely relieved to find DS is confirmed too :) No idea about results - but they pale now anyway! Didn't sleep a wink in the end - hope absolutely all DC on the thread are confirmed.

HocusUcas · 13/08/2015 08:42

Molio huge congratulations !

QueenQueenie · 13/08/2015 08:43

Ds successful for his Cambridge place! No idea of his actual results yet! Well done to all those with good news. Fingers crossed for everyone.

Grammar · 13/08/2015 10:01

Dd's place confirmed at Cambridge too. Went on to Ucas site at 7:35. Just been to pick up results.
Many congratulations to all.

Congrats to all your dcs. My dd is having one subject remarked so the nail biting continues for another week or two here...

cathyandclaire · 13/08/2015 13:01

DD missed her offer AAA, she's gutted. She has not been rejected yet and has, as per instructions, emailed her UMS. She has also ordered remarks.

Is there any benefit in phoning and begging too?

Decorhate · 13/08/2015 13:09

Cath, my dd phoned first (I think, did it at school) and they said to send through her UMS marks which she has done

welshpixie · 13/08/2015 13:46

Congrats to all who got their places. DD has been turned down, but she is very happy with her insurance, so tears here, she has been expecting it to be honest.

Figmentofmyimagination · 13/08/2015 14:04

Confirmed here. Oxford. Big relief! Fingers crossed to those going for remarks.

MarianneSolong · 13/08/2015 15:26

Fingers crossed for a happy daughter soon cathyandclaire.

cathyandclaire · 13/08/2015 18:13

Thanks and so very well done to all the successful DC.
We're ignoring the Summer pool/remark shenanigans/ Cambridge not made a definitive decision bit and are planning a lovely trip to Bristol to try and remind DD that she initially preferred it and wanted to withdraw from Cambridge :)

Decorhate · 13/08/2015 18:30

That sounds like a very good plan cathyandclaire. Dd has decided to carry on as if she is definitely going to her insurance & then if the firm comes through it's a bonus.

sassymuffin · 14/08/2015 12:46

DD missed her offer by two marks but Cambridge changed her offer to unconditional on track so she is still going. She also receive a letter off her college yesterday saying that they are aware she fell below the required grades but they still wished to confirm her place.
DD must of had a good interview and done well in the Cambridge Law test.
We are all very relived here after the drama of yesterday.
