Can you do an apprenticeship and an Open University degree at the same time?

It's part time study rather than full time and paid for with a part time student loan.

If I get an apprenticeship would I be allowed to do both at the same time? Would I be able to enroll on new modules whilst doing the apprenticeship or would I need to wait for my apprenticeship to be over before enrolling on the next module?

When I did an apprenticeship (back in the dark ages) I worked all day and needed the night to do my study. I only ever went out on a Saturday night - so I'd not have had the time! I think even if you are allowed to you need to understand why you want to do it all at the same time - is there a good reason and, if you do, are you sure it won't impact on the work you put into your apprenticeship study.

Employers are starting to offer degree apprenticeships where you can do both together and get your fees paid. Well worth a look - www.gov.uk/government/news/government-rolls-out-flagship-degree-apprenticeships
