Hi Im starting some Level 2 modules this year with open university. I think Im going to choose E217 Childhood and E207 Primary Education subject Knowledge.

Does anyone have a reading list/set book list or some book names that they found useful while studying these modules? Would like to start reading ahead while I have the time as Im worried I might not have the time to do as much background reading Id like to do once my TMA's start.

Any other advice from previous study on these modules would be fantastic.
Thank you!!!

Haven't done these courses but if you call or email the OU they should be able to provide you with a list.

I think E217 replaces E212 which is the Childhood module I did 2 years ago. If it is I loved the module despite the exam at the end! When I did the module we had combined Readers & Course books provided & didn't really need other books as far as I remember. The module covers a wide range of areas which I found fascinating & the grounding in that module is helping me now in my level 3 module KE312. Good luck with your studies.

E217 is a sports module. E212 was remade about 3 years ago (replacing EK212). You can have a look at the E212 textbooks online (don't buy them; they're provided as part of the module).

link to the 4 books.

Are you already an OU student? I second the E212 text books, they are pretty good. I did that module as the last one for my degree last year.
Anything by A Kehily really. Loads on the OU library.
