I am thinking of becoming a teacher when ds starts school. Is/has anyone done a full time 3 year primary teaching course? I was wondering how much time is actually spent at college, do you go every day from 9-4 or is it usually shorter days? I am just thinking about childcare issues.

I did a 4 year B.Ed(Hons) degree but it was many moons ago!! It was a modular degree, each term varied as to how many modules you did but it was never full-time (as in all day Mon-Fri) except when you were on teaching practise.

Hopefully someone with more recent experience will come along and give you more accurate info

i did a pgce but my sister did the three year one
iirc the 3rd year was full time
the first 2 years were less so but different hours every day
then when you do your teaching practices, you will probably want to be in school for around 8ish
