Post-uni just graduated - what are they doing next?

Just helped my DD move to London to start her graduate job with Teach First. It wasn't as hard as sending her off to uni as London isn't too far from us but very weird to see my little girl so grown up!
She seems to be finding her feet and so busy, think she is a little worried about making friends in the area she is in but I'm sure she will be so busy soon that there will be no time for worrying!
I hate the tugging at the heart strings sensation I have felt annually for the last few years as she has gone off again for another term at uni and now this big move.
I really hope she settles and comes back to see me frequently!!

DS doing MFL so has another year to go but intends to go into teaching via the conventional PGCE route rather than Teach First. I think Tough Young Teachers must have put him off. Hope it all goes well for her.

DD weighed up the options and was swayed by the financial incentives and school-based nature of TF. Time will tell but she is doing primary and at a (so far) very supportive school.
Anyone else with DC starting new things having graduated?

DS2 graduated a year ago.
Has has lived at home (SW London) for the last year but is moving out tomorrow, so that is a big day for us too even though he has been on a grad scheme for the last year.
He will be living in East London within 5 minutes of his DB by chance.
I hope he enjoys it. It will be good for him & stop me knowing too much about his life.
But I know (& he does too) that he will miss his local school /6th form college friends, many of whom are still living with their parents.
Not unusual these days.

Of dd1s friendship cohort from school (she's just graduated) they are all continuing in education tbh!

DD doing MA at same uni and. Couple more doing same, some medics and language students still got time to serve, and one lone sole has branched out into the world of grown up work! However, she has a job with the tax office in Cardiff and 2 days a week paid study towards an MA!

Bearcatt certainly not unusual, DD was actually fairly keen to live at home but it is slightly too far. I think she also was scared she would never leave again if she moved back full time as she is such a home girl!
She is doing well and managed to find some new friends already.
Theas DD is technically still a student while working full time as well. Most of her friends are continuing in education like you have found or have 4 year + courses.

Dd starts her first job tomorrow having finished her PGCE in June. She will be teaching Maths in a Middle School and was lucky to get a job within commuting distance from home as she and her fiance are saving up to buy a house so that they can leave home.

For the first time in over 40 years we will no longer be financially supporting any children as she will be paying us for board and lodging - just enough to cover the cost.

DD starting her GDL in London in 2 weeks. She has just received her first set of reading material! The first of many.
