Does anyone know when universities get the A level results

Ds seems to think its 2 weeks before results day.

I've heard from many sources that it's on the Monday before results day (ooo - that's today!). But also heard that they've pretty much sorted out who they'll take by the day before (Wednesday). (I work for a college which does degrees and do get involved in UCAS applications, but I also work term-time so I miss out on this bit!!)

I went on an open day to cardiff med school in July and the admissions tutor said that they got the results on the Sunday.

This weekend. Decisions are being made now, and there are a few days for the opportunity to chase missing grades, make borderline decisions etc.

At least a couple of days before.
