Starting a nursing degree in September and I'm trying to work out how much I will get . I know I will get a basic rate of £550 . If you have a partner you can receive up to a further £220. Does anyone know what the partners salary must be under ?

You should also be able to get a student loan too shouldn't you?

That amount doesn't sound right btw.
[]www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2012/03/6709/4 this website]] says you should get around £6,578

Yeah that's right that works out at 550 per month . No nurses aren't eligible for loans .

Ah right I thought you meant the full bursary was 550.

Oh dear in England we're allowed the Non Means Tested part of the student loan.

That is the official RCN guide to funding for nurses, the part for Scotland starts from page 25. I'm not sure if there's anything extra available for you
