Pharmacy degree - any advice welcome re: unis etc!

DD is planning to apply for a pharmacy degree course. She is obviously starting to look at what unis do it etc. and looking at which open days to go to.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice/information from their DC's experiences?
Thanks very much!

You're very welcome hellsbells! It sounds like your DD has really done her homework, so I'm sure she will be very happy with her choice. Thanks very much, he is so excited to be finally going to uni in September, raring to go! Best of luck to your daughter too. It will be interesting to see what other views you get here.

Kay Marshall is the new head of school at Manchester (she taught me many years ago) - she recently spoke at a Call to Action and was fantastic (and as scary now as she was 20 years ago). I was really impressed with the way the course is being developed there.

I was a Bradford Student and had a fantastic time - I am not sure it is somewhere I would want to study now though.

I've heard great things about the new course at Durham - and Nottingham and Bath have a good reputation too.

Hells Bells there is also a direct train from Norwich to Manchester Picadilly, takes a while, but good chill out time :)

Thanks for all your help on this thread. We have a few open days booked. DD is in the middle of AS exams at the moment so fingers crossed for reasonable grades!

Best of luck to her Hellsbells! DS2 is also doing AS at the moment, and really looking forward to half term week! Chemistry in the morning, then the last 3 after half term. Then we have some open days to look forward to too.

Thanks! Good luck to your DS too.
Chemistry here tomorrow and then 4 left after half-term.
