Shiiiiiittt bugger bum and other rude words. What can we do here?

DS has an interview 14/4. He has learned today he also has an ISA exam!

Taking aside the " she said she told us but I'm sure she didn't " which is annoying what can we/DS do now?

I don't suppose there is any facility for taking the isa on another date so pleading for a different interview date is the only route I guess. Don't suppose that's likely as this date has been set for ages.

There is a very risky 3rd route I guess as DS only has to submit the better of 2 is as but only sitting one seems just too Russian roulette...

Ask for the interview to be re-scheduled? It's seven weeks away so it's plenty of notice. What's the worst that could happen - if they say no then you are no worse off.

What's the interview for; it's very late for a UCAS-thingy isn't it?

Speak to the school first, and if there's no traction there speak to the university. They do understand that sometimes people have other commitments or (surprisingly commonly) clashes with other uni interviews.

Hopefully school will be flexible as it doesn't appear to be an " everyone sits the exam at the same time" thing- they are doing it in class time, so the other classes at school are doing it at other times the same day.

DS is convinced there is no way the uni can /will change as "I've confirmed it on UCAS track" .

It's for medicine. Interviews till end march seem to not unusual and the lateness is adding hugely to the stress too, he's seeing it as " the last chance" :(

It's in their interest, isn't it.Wink They will want to be able to boast about (a) results and (b) med school uptake.

I thought ISAs were a bit like controlled assessments or coursework in that they are done in school under exam conditions but not on any specified day. I know DS has several ISAs in his science A levels and some of his class have done them at different times.

Well.... sorted!

School inflexible but Well done uni for not just writing him off as he feared! We have a new interview date
