ds got offered the nus extra card but looking at where the discounts were it didn't seem worth the £12 he's going to get the 3 yr railcard for £70

DS has the NUS one. It has more than paid for itself in discounts at pizza hut. Many shops give 10%.
He has a railcard as well, you can get those with Tesco vouchers. That has saved him a lot this year as well

You can also get a free railcard with a Santander student account.

That's really helpful - thanks for the replies - think I'll get a NUS one - interesting about the railcard as well! Thanks again. Smile

For lots of places, just your university/college card will be enough to get the student discounts, specially in the town/city where you are based.

Don't bother most places just give the discount on student ID.

Dwinhofficoffi · 14/09/2013 07:36

I use my student ID for what I need.

Many thanks for replies, on second thoughts, will probably stick with student ID - Smile
