my daughter is thinking of doing a business degree (with work placement)

Which has the better job prespects:

Business with economics, finance, human resource management or marketing?

She is currently study AS/ A level art and business btec diploma at 6th form in her 1st year.

She is unsure what other options she has for studying at university. any sugestions please. Im guessing she can only go the businesss or art route. Are there any other university courses that would cover this.

Thanks

Wouldn't one with economics, finance require Maths A levels?

Will she be able to do a degree with just two a levels?

Ladyemem · 06/03/2013 14:42

i was told that she would be able to do half of university course.

The business btec diploma is equiv tio 2 a levels. A destinction would give her 360 ucas point or a merit 240

I checked degree at brighton university and they accept DDM

How do you mean, half of a university course? Confused

My SIL works in an area where loads of people did variations on the subjects you mention (and coincidentally she has an Art degree herself but retrained in marketing later). She had to have extra maths tuition to get up to speed but people who'd done the business or marketing undergraduate degrees had been taught that as part of their undergraduate degrees, so she might be ok without maths as a specific subject.
