funding to do full time stage school in the private sector

Hi, my DD has been to stage school part time from 5 year old and it has always been her dream to do the full time course at 16. She is about to enter her last year at school and her principal at stage school has suggested making her a charity case to get the money together to pay for the full time course, but to start that now. DD is naturally talented as well as disciplined, she is energetic and apparently is a triple threat being good in drama, dance and singing. Unfortunately in this current financial climate they have pulled all sponsorships and government funding for courses in the private sector and the course is too much for us to pay. DD has a part time job for pocket money as we couldn't give her this on top of what we pay out for her already. I just need ideas/help in how do I go about this? also how do I do a letter asking for help towards the cost?

Thanks.

She could do a full time course at an FE college.

Post 16 courses in theatre, drama, dance combination are available free at FE colleges/sixth forms etc. Are there charities that in this economic climate would pay for a child to go to a private stage school when similar courses are available free?

Dd2 has unexpectedly been offers a place at GAMTA to do a 3 year musical theater course. It was a late audition and they offered a place today. The course starts one week from now! Crap. I know nothing about fees, loans etc and am panicking. The college website says fees are 8000 a year, with 1k deposit due immediately. We are in scotland so the tuition fees will be paid but these seem to be less than 2k. What is the rest for? How do we get a loan.

Dementedma can I ask how you done it in the end? My daughter ended up going to college but now has a place at italia conti and GAMTA. She seems to prefer the latter but doesn't know how to go about funding. Cheers.
