Would you say it was less hours/less work/ less pressure? In fact what are the pressures?
Dh is about to take a job in sixth form and I'm wondering about the impact on family life. He currently has a 22 hour teaching load/12 members of staff and 6 hours marking at weekend - guaranteed week turnaround for marking years 7/8/9 work. He also has a catch up session twice a week and 3 members of staff needing quite a lot of support.
I estimate he's doing 60-75 hours every week term time, less in holidays - maybe 20 hours average?
Anyone any experience of this? He will have more staff but he thinks the teaching will only be about 12 hours ish.
