Have found this one www.amazon.co.uk/Level-Business-Administration-Student-Book/dp/0435463330/ref=pd_sim_b_2 but it is so expensive! Not a big choice of student books actually.

what do you want it for? Every course will have their own reading list and you may be able to buy second hand through the college.

I need a book for self-studying. May be there is one which would cover the most important areas.

Its a bit of a huge topic - I did a degree in economics but close friends on the faculty were doing bus admin (a long time ago!) but I don;t recall there being one overarching text - more one fr beginners accountancy, economics, psychology industrial relations etc.

Can you go to a large library and have a look/see first? I've got various titles on the shelves here (book-aholic.. and my college library sold the old books for 20p!) and the Dewey codes for such topics seem to be from 650 through to 658. Though I agree that there's unlikely to be just one book, one covering the NVQ syllabus should have the basics in.

If you are buying, remember to see if there's a choice of second hand options on Amazon and check out Ebay too.

Thank you for the suggestions.
I have ordered two books from the library to check first (as suggested too) because I simply do not want to pay over £20.00 for a book I might not like.
I do not really like buying 2nd hand students books but in this case they are not much cheaper. The books were published in 2006 and that is another reason for me not to buy them. Some buyers mention that some areas are outdated.

yes if you are going to buy second hand you need to make sure you're buying the latest edition, but there are plenty out there.

Thanks Kewcumber. Will be waiting for the library books.
