Oxford-collecting students on Friday night

Friday December 2nd is Oxford Light Night.
I believe that St Giles,Beaumont Street,Magdelen Streets East and West will be closed. Broad Street is,I think open but given all the pedestrians will not be suitable for loading.

Is it the same as Christmas light night because according to the web that was friday just gone.

Not sure how DD found out but probably from a lamppost! It is the 2nd I'm afraid as we have contacted Oxford Council and Ian Nolan Events. Ian Nolan Events took it upon themselves to ring DD's college once the penny had dropped. (Not all colleges will be directly affected.)
College now sent e-mail to students!
