I want to learn French again, but where do I start?

I loved learning languages at school. I did French and German at GCSE and got an A* and an A respectively, then began the a-level courses but life/lack of resources/lack of motivation meant that I quit. I got a C in French AS level which I understand at the time meant I didn't really progress much over the year between my GCSE and that exam.

Now 6 years later, I was watching a film with some French and German dialogue and although there were subtitles I could hear each word iyswim rather than just hearing the language. It sounds daft but It made me realise that I still love languages and I would really like to start learning French again.

The question is, where do I start? I work full time and have a 15 month old. I really haven't got a clue about where I would go from here, any suggestions would be most welcome!

Rosetta stone is good.

Is it? I've seen adverts for it but I don't know anyone who has used it so I wasn't sure if it really works.

I've just looked at the OU courses and it looks like I've just missed this year's intake! Typical of me that :o

Get a tutor to come to you? Not too expensive but you will advance. Do this until you can register for the OU course?
