Gift/Essentials box for friend going to uni, what to include?

My best friend is heading off to uni in a month's time and I'd like to organise a box of things to give him when he moves in. He's 23, lived away from home before so has most of the kitchen essentials and bits so it's mainly just gifts and tidbits he'd appreciate whilst at uni.

So what could I put in this box?

So far my list is:
Nice Tea Bags
Nice Coffee
Vegetarian Student Cookbook (I'm a veggie, I plan to visit often so it's more a hint than anything else )
Baked Beans & Worcestershire Sauce (he's a fan of both!)
A couple of notebooks
A big packet of biros
A couple of pictures/posters relating to geeky webcomics we both like
A huge bag of pasta/rice
Labels & label pen
A mug he'll appreciate
Condoms
A 'Whats on' guide for his uni town
An academic diary

Booze of some kind!
A packet of something to dip in his coffee

First aid kit for those drunken times. Plasters, headache tablets, lemsip, immoduim.
Not glamorous but he will thank you.

I have vistaprint pens with inside joke on now too as they're cheap and entertaining

Bottle opener on a keyring (you'd be amazed how often they're useful)
Bag of lentils
Instant hot chocolate
Shower gel

No real suggestions to add but just want to say what a lovely friend you sound. You've inspired me do do a package for one of my friends who is off soon.
