French movies with french subtitles!!

I am trying to learn french and have looked online to see if I can download or buy french movies with french sub ( including amazon)- but am getting frustrated as dont seem to get anywhere.

Has anybody dealt with this before or knows a title that would recomend- would appreciate any help.

Faut que vous commandiez d'Amazon en France qui a une plus bonne choix.

Avez-vous essayez des versions differents, par exemple, film en anglais, sous-titres en francais? Bonne chance!

Il faut acheter les dvds en France. On peut aussi les commander chez FNAC. Sinon quand je regarde un film francais avec des soustitres en anglais je mets des post-its au pied de l'ecran. Comme ca je suis moins temptee de les lire.

Mon film francais prefere est 'le diner de cons' c'est tres rigolo. Je suis allee le voir comme piece de theatre a Paris. Fantastique.

Oui, nous faisons aussi le truc des post its au college. Quelque fois ca va miieux si on regarde un film qu'on a deja vu en sa langue maternelle.
Rennie- francaise, prof ou les deux?! Suis anglaise, prof de langues.

DrSeuss Je suis anglaise aussi. J'etais prof de langues mais il y a 2 ans j'ai pris ma retraite.

Voila pourquoi j'ai le temps de perfectionner mon francais avec des visites a Paris et aussi de regarder beaucoup de films.

J'avais completement perdu ma passion pour les langues mais maintenant je l'ai redecouverte.

Vous voulez dire que, quand vous n'etiez plus obligee d'enseigner aux petits fouteurs des phrases utiles comme "Pour aller au supermarche, svp?" !!!

Hmm I have just started to learn french so have no idea what you guys are talking about...

DrSeuss I had a look at Amelia on Amazon, but it has only english subtitles and since in movies the language is quite fast is hard for me to follow. But I love Disney movies so will go back to Amazon and have a look again...

I already have La Veuve de Sanit-Pierre, but it only has english sub, which is ok for me to understand what is going on..but I need at least a movie with french sub so I can see words written as well...

Sorry for being a pain in the backside and I am very THANKFUL to your addvice already. Need to go and find dictionary to translate the above conversation..Grin

I ordered few months ago two dvd from Amazon.fr called "drule le petite betes" which is adorable to watch and my kids love it, only there are no sub at all. There are a couple of DVD on amazon in french Little Marmaid and Hercules, but they are only to be used for north america DVD players (zone 1) No idea why they would sell them in UK, but even them have only English subs.

So HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

Je recommande particulierement le diner de cons, c'est super marrant ! Je l'ai vu au moins 20 fois et je suis morte de rire a chaque fois !

Je suis tout a fait d'accord au sujet du diner des cons. C'est super marrant et encore mieux comme piece de theatre.

Chaque mois nous avons une reunion pour discuter un film francais que nous avons regarde a la maison. Et nous discutons en francais!

Just ordered Aladin and Merlin from Amazon.fr - to start with! Will see how things go with them, although can't see the kids complaining.

Sorry if this is too late, but I found a french channel on skyTV, that had news ,films etc. if you have sky go to international and just scroll down. It's really helped my french
