JOURNALISTS!! How much use is an MA in Journalism these days?

Considering going to City University to do an MA in Newspaper Journalism after leaving uni 5 years ago. Ready to work my bum off getting work experience too! How much use is an MA these days? Career adviser says yes, does anyone have any real life experience of this sort of thing?
