DD2 got her uni results this week, She has passed her first year so can go backin September without having to resit anything. She has also manged to keep her head above water and not go into her overdraft. She got a job for the summer to help wiht this. We paid her rent for halls and she paid for everything else, She has never asked us for anymore money. She got her deposit back from halls this week and was going to transfer it all back to us she didn't even think about asking if she could keep any of it. Bedcause of this DH and I decided she could keep £300 ( she cot £430 back) of it, He texted her last night to tell her and also congratulate her on passing her first year. She texted straight back to thank him. She is now sharing a house with her friends and has paid all the rent so far.

Thank you. This is a girl who couldn't budget at all when she was home and was always leaving lights on. The last time she visited us she was complining about one of her friends who didn't turn lights off and kept leaving his xbox on. She said she turned it off when he did this. So she's learning.

:) Thankfully I, and most people I know at uni, are in a similar situation. I paid for my accommodation and everything else myself, and have managed to save a fair bit of my loan/grant.

I am not smug at all Wink
