Yes. Probably would have been cheaper to buy a generic one from Mothercare or something but we went for the Stokke one, in beige.

MarshaBrady · 20/05/2010 10:33

That should say what colour chair?

Am thinking red or trendy lime

can buy as a set I think, bit cheaper.

Oh sorry, we got the natural coloured wood chair, v boring but goes ok with our kitchen. Love the lime!

lemsiprocks · 20/05/2010 10:47

I just used an ordinary harness, only one of mine needed it,the rest sat well without it.Natural wood as well, matches rest of chairs, and not 'different' from others chairs,so they are happy to keep using them as they get bigger.

I've got the lime one, I love it! its a gorgeous colour.
And yes I did buy the baby harness - much cheaper off Ebay and it was brand new. However, I never used it - didn't really need it to be honest, DS felt safe enough wedged in the baby seat.

DastardlyandSmugly · 20/05/2010 12:42

I've got two black ones. We had the harness for DS but DD has refused to even have the bar on since she was about 16m so we let her get herself in and out.

And would anyone like to tell me what colour seat cushion they bought .

I'm thinking beige stripes.

I would buy a £11 pound plastic ikea high-chair and the trip trap when you child is a confident walker (then you wont need the baby set. I bought a trip trap when my daughter was nine mouths we took the bar off when she was 18mth when she started walking I now have rains on it for visitor's I have had much younger children in it. We had Ikea one for camping it can have a tray or go right up to the table very easy to clean in those early days. The other idea is to use a bumbo for longer and just the trip trap which rains for family meals when there is someone to keep more of a eye on the child.

I love trip traps I have two children now nearly 9 and nearly 5 I just think the babysit had got very expensive It wasn't that much when we bought it. It is also plastic so you may feel you need the cushion as well.
