How do I navigate the long list of products?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking through the many brands of baby products and feeling a little lost. Does anyone have any advice on where to go and what to get for a first-time parent??

I'm looking to sort all the purchases now in advance of the due date, in order to reduce the stress of it all.

My advice for a high chair is, if you have the space go for the ikea anti lop, with the cushion for when they're little. It's totally wipe clean and (in my opinion) far more practical than any of the fancy ones

My advice would be to ignore all the overpriced stuff, and anything that is an impractical colour, looks fiddly, or might be difficult to clean.

yeah go basic of all the chairs i found the ikea one to be the best so easy to clean you can spray it down in the tub its so light and the tray fits in the dishwasher

I don't know a single person who doesn't think the ikea highchair is the bees knees. It has the added advantage of a lot of other places use them so your baby will feel right at home.

I would go to ikea first. They have great stuff. Nice plain cots and bedding. Sensible furniture and of course the high chair.

Another vote for the ikea high chair, not worth spending more! But you don’t need that for 6 months, we’re not getting one til then.

For baby seats, a company like clek might fit what your looking for in terms being able to pay now and get the items when you want them.

IKEA high chair is the best thing.

Bought a ridiculously overpriced high chair before baby was born- all siblings through the years hated it but loved the ikea one.

Expensive one just lived in the garage until someone wanted it.

Me too @jigglywigglyhungryhippo I had a trip trapp until I used the ikea one in a restaurant and got one of those instead. I did use the trip trap later as an actual chair.
