Dilemma - we are about to move our 18 month old into his first big boy bed, and as a result out of our room and sharing with his 7yo brother. The issue is that his brother his quite self sufficient (not to mention an early riser) and will get himself out of bed and downstairs of a morning. Obviously we are going to have to install a baby gate, but would like him to be able to maintain this level of freedom.
Has anyone had this issue? Is there an answer? I am terrified that he's going to leave the gate open by accident (he has neurospicy issues - as does the entire household).
