I would like something for DD to sit in to watch DS & I play, to sit up a bit and see the world. She's awake quite a bit now and finds the ceiling lights a bit much at night, as well as not really being able to see us when we're playing. She can't hold her head up for too long, so can't do tummy time much yet. Don't want to spend too much but not a cheap cheap one (had a cheapy for DS that was useless!!).

We have a mothercare "loved so much" chair, DS is 14 weeks now and still sits in it every day. He loved it from day one Smile

I got the most basic bouncy chair from Mothercare for about £15 I think and all three of my DC loved it and used it until they could sit unaided. My best value bit of kit by far.

I have this one...www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Toys/Bouncers-and-Rockers/FisherPrice-Home-Sweet-Home-Bouncer(0091159)?cm_mmc=Google--ProductListingAds--NA-_-Fisher-Price%20Home%20Sweet%20Home%20Bouncer&gclid=COLDxofKk8ICFeISwwodAF4AIA

Cost about £35 depending where you get it from. My little girl loves it and is just about able to hit the toys. She sits in it for a good time in the morning to allow me to shower, eat breakfast etc. It vibrates also and plays tunes (granted only 2 different ones which I feel will be a bit annoying when she learns how to pull the owl to turn on the tunes!). I can also put her in it to sleep in the daytime as she won't go in the cot!

I've had the baby Bjorn seat recommended to me but they're over £100 new. Just been to pick one up that I bought from Gumtree for £30. Could be worth looking at second hand ones?

second elfo's suggestion, I got my babybjorn for £20 on ebay (local pick-up) and it's a lot better than the £30ish brand new Fisher Price I had first.
