Stokke tripp trapp - old style baby set on new style chair?

A friend is giving me her chair, but she doesnt know whether its the old or new style and I need to get a baby set to go with it. I know the new style baby set doesn't fit on the old chair, but what about the other way round?

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the older and newer styles?

How do you know it doesn't fit. I just looked at the instructions and it looks like it goes in the same slots as mine. Their have been three

Very old ones the baby set was just a bar and leather crutch strap

little bit newer ones the baby set had the obover and a different mack rest that was higher but other than that was the same it was just a different baby set on the same chair

The newest ones at first glance (my friend has one) I didn't notice a difference except the baby set but it looks as though it goes in the same slots.

If it doesn't get a cheap ikea high chair until your baby is about a year ( about £11) also gets you over the messy bit and then you can take the legs off and put it in the car when you go to friends houses
