has anyone else seen a copy of this book yet?

I've just skimmed through it, and am looking forward to reading it properly. I'm a big fan of the author(s) and judging from the blurbs and my skim-read, it appears their views on G&T (like mine) have been changing over the years.

It is pricey - but you might be able to reserve copies through public library service...?

I'm finding it fascinating and very thought-provoking.

Can you report back when you have read the book. I'd like to know how his views are changing and what he is saying. I've just skim read bits but haven't grasped it very well.

Ha! It's definitely not a book for skim-reading is it? I often have to re-read a paragraph a couple of times before I think I've grasped it. I'm about 3/5 of the way through, but am already thinking I will need to go back to the beginning and start again as soon as I've finished!

I am hesitant to attempt to summarise the contents of the book in any way at the moment: I will reflect on that.

Suffice to say that in the past the author has appeared to be in favour of 'identifying talents' in students, creating G&T registers in schools and 'special' provision for G&T students. In the book these are not the views held.

Has anyone else read this? The book is just full of common sense approach, but is inspirational/motivational at the same time.

I think everyone in education should read it.
