Very, very clever kids?

G and T is normally the top 5%....they say they are aiming at kids with IQs over 130, but this varies from school to school. G and T in once school would be middle of the road in another.

Life isn't that much fun for the ultra G and T. (have only taught one or two)

TBH most G and T kids I have worked with are just clever. Nothing mind blowing. They are the brightest kids in the school, but still within the 'normal' range IYSWIM.

Really 'gifted' kids are different IMHO

CD. Worn for 6 months. After six months swap feet. That will do for another 6 months. Then turn inside out ....six months, then swap feet, last 6 months....easy peasy!

then no pairs issue

good way of bringing g and t child down to earth - sock sorting as their saturday pre pocket money chore

Gosh how ridiculous to say they have an exceptionally G&T section when it is plainly so rare they would be lucky to have 1 kid like that every few years!!

Think it's not a bad idea to have a 'bog standard' G&T group to ensure kids who are very clever don't get bored and underperform (that happened to me - IQ 155 but didn't really do that well til A levels when I could choose things I was interested in)

BUT I bet the kids in the G&T group get a lot of stick about it....so I'm glad there wasn't one in my school when I was there....
