Hi there!

I'm new to this forum so be gentle! It seems a safe place to actually talk about your child's achievements without being attacked (I hope I'm right Blush)
We've always felt our DS was very bright, we've never been sure he's actually G&T but he doesn't seem to struggle with any aspect of learning.
We've just had his school report home, he's in year 2 so did his SATS this year. His school assessed children as below age related, at expected age or exceeding age related. He achieved 5 exceedings for, reading, writing, speaking and listening, maths and science. We are immensely proud of him especially as he is also a late summer born.
We were just wondering how hard it would have been this year to have exceeded in those subjects. With the new standards in the national curriculum this year we were only expecting to see "at expected age" with maybe an exceeding for his reading which has always been his strongest area.

Hello!
Sounds like your ds is doing great. Well done to your ds!
I think standard has been raised and getting exceeding for everything sound like rare thing in RL. However, not so rare on MN. It's a great thing anyway.

There are a lot of KS1 end report threads on primary section at the moment. You can have a look, and find out yourself.
