DD got a scaled score of 120 - (the max) in reading, 119 in spag and 110 in maths which she is gutted about.
I am so pleased and so proud of her, she got a fantastic report and heads to secondary a confident, happy, motivated child - I just hope she stays that way!!!

My turn to add DD to the list. Not sure if I'd call her gifted and talented (maybe just an early learner), but according to her report she has been graded as 'exceeding' on all 17 Early Learning Goals at the end of Reception.

Lovely social comments too: kind-natured, amiable, well behaved, inquisitive, enthusiastic and polite, with a lovely sense of humour Smile

Great, Ginmummy1! Flowers for you, and Star for your dd!

Dc1 keeps winning class and year group awards, and dc2 was afraid of following her to secondary, because of what he felt the teachers would, as a result, expect of him.

He was quietly disappointed when I told him he wouldn't be going to the last Scout meeting of term because he had to come to Prizegiving with us - until the penny dropped and he realised that he had been awarded a prize!

(Delighted, somewhat gobsmacked, and proud. Parents, too! Grin)

Coming back to say for KS1 SATs - which aren't a major part of the assessment - DD got scaled 115 for Maths and 114 for reading. So when she told me Maths was boring because it was too easy - I think she was not just exaggerating. She got 107 for Spelling and grammar. We don't do much at home - only readtheory.org, but I am wondering if we should get her to learn her spellings. Although I'm not convinced that is how to learn to spell. I am very pleased. I'm dyslexic so was rubbish at tests, so it makes me doubly pleased for her.
