So proud of DD

I just have to get this off my chest, please indulge me, sorry!

DD has been taking ballet classes since she was tiny and has been on the G & T register for dance at school since about Y7. She decided a couple of years ago that her ambition was to become a professional dancer, and has been spending pretty much every evening and weekend training, coming home exhausted, but still managing to keep on top of her homework etc.

Well, she's now 16 and recently auditioned for several full-time ballet schools alongside other candidates from all over the world, many of whom have been in full-time training since they were 11, and she has had an amazing 5 offers of places to start in September. We are beyond delighted, and she has now chosen where she wants to go and accepted her place.

So thrilled for her, that all the sacrifices she's made over the last few years have all been worthwhile, and she is now heading off to one of the best schools in Europe.

Well done DD, you are amazing, and we are beyond delighted for you!

taxi4ballet · 26/04/2015 12:10

I don't think dancers and well-paid jobs go together all that often! She's happy, that's all that matters :)

I know, it was just a joke. Sounds like she's found her vocation in life and what more could we want.
