I wasn't sure where to post this, but have posted on G&T before so here it goes! My son, almost 8, loves making films and uses Lego movie maker on his sister's ipod, and Hue Animation on the PC. Both are stop motion animation kits. Now he wants to make non-animation films. His sister uses imovie on her ipod to make short films, and it's great but they're always fighting over it. His birthday is coming up and I'm thinking ipad Mini with imovie. Anyone with experience here who could advise on any other cameras, etc. or is Ipad the best option? Thanks!

Hello Jaws, Ive seen your posts with no answers so thought I could let you know about my dd and ds. They are both keen on making stop motion video's and although they have an ipad they choose to use their ipods to film. Ds's year 6 class will be videoing soon in school and again have been advised to use ipods. Perhaps its because they are easier to handle? Hope this helps

You could also try posting in MN Geeky Stuff, in the hope of finding someone who knows (I don't)

Thanks! yes, I see that with the ipod as it's easier to move around... Geeky Stuff, I didn't know that existed, but it sounds very useful! Smile
