Has anybody found an easy way to get the pips out of Watermelons?

Are they pips or seeds? What is the diff?

If you are that way inclined you just cut them out and only enjoy the outer bit but I find that crunching them makes me even brainier

Well there the same size as the ones in the gala melons but they go right through the melon so every mouthfull is full of pips/seeds.

They must have some nutritional benefits then?

The red flesh in watermelons is full of lycopene. Can't really eat the red flesh without eating the seeds unless you want to get very fiddly.

Why is this posted on an education topic?

You spit them of course! (It's the whole point of eating watermelon - sit on the back step and see who can spit furthest )
