Bond 11+ Books and online has anyone used them

Has anyone used the Bond 11+ Books or online service they do...?
I just wanted to get some feedback on them

My daughter uses the Bond practise papers and the Verbal Reasoning 10 minute tests. They are excellent and give her tutor pointers as to where she needs the extra work.

My daughter's just done the test at school and scored high on both VR and NVR, so know I'm thinking of getting her to sit 11+ entrance tests in local Grammer and private schools... I just don't want her to go in blind...
The books and website seem quite good for preparing the kid's x

Are you intending for DC to sit an 11+? If so, in which area?

The reason I ask is that the Bond VR books are really not terribly useful for a lot of the 11+ areas. The maths, English and comprehension are better, though there are other online resources which I prefer.

DS has just passed his 11+ so this is all very fresh in my mind!

Her VR and NVR were naturally high at 131 & 135 which is why I'm now thinking of getting her to do 11+ or private school tests... We are in the Bromley/Croydon area xXx She's in year 5 so I think I've got a while to prepair her x Well done to your DS xxx

I used the Bond books for both of my children and found them to be very useful. We didn't use a private tutor (just me) and both got into very competitive grammar schools.

It takes discipline to do it yourself but it's possible.

I also found the Bond 'How to Do 11+.....' books useful and used the 10 minute tests as well.

Lclogs that's good to hear as I'll be doing it myself with her too...
She just finished doing the placement tests that are in the middle of The Parent's Guide today and got good scores. I've got the 'How to Maths & English' books so I think I'll work through them with her and then start her doing some 10 minute tests and throw in a biggie now and again... I also signed up to the Bond 11+ website for 3 months so will let you know how that goes xXx
