Hi, Had the coil removed in MARCH. Had a few days of bleeding and pain but nothing since. Last weekend I started to have unusual discharge (SORRY IF TMI) and lots of period pain. It went from that into a really heavy period really fast. I had a large bleed with a large clot (SORRY TMI AGAIN) and then everything stopped. Was very painful at the time but then have had literally nothing since. What is going on??? IS this normal???

No idea but perhaps a scan could help

Gosh, no idea. But I'd see your GP for clarification. What sort of coil was it? Copper or hormonal?

bargainhuntingbetty · 10/07/2010 16:03

hormonal. It was truly very bizarre.

I suspect if it was hormonal, it's probably your body going back to usual slowly. I think people react differently to it and probably react differently to its removal to I would imagine.

Definitely not pregnant?

Nope definately not, I did a test just days before the bizarre period happened as I was going to a wedding and wanted to check.
