Anyone had the laser eye surgery where they do only one eye - for reading?

I have been through consultation process for this and had the contact lens trail today.

Bit concerned about the bluring although they say it will diminish.

Just wanted any experiences.
TIA

The Contact Lens trial is normally a good indicator of success. Once you've had a few days of that and have tried all your activities most people are pretty comfortable making a choice.

Some people with this set up (Monovision), either through CLs or surgery do require glasses for detail in dim light but most are glasses independent.

About 70% of people get on with monovision, which obv means 30% don't give it a coupld of days and see. If you can get on with it, it does make things much easier and means you'll be glasses free for longer.
Some monovision patients needs spectacles for driving at night afterwards and if you do a lot of computer work you may need them for that too.
If you don't have monovision you'll need specs for reading at 40-45ish and you'll no longer be able to take glasses off to read

Good luck x

Oh I am nervous about it.

I did the contact trial for 5 hours and it went pretty well

Perhaps I should do contact trial for longer and get clinic details in term of success rates?

I am not usually faffy but anything to do with my eyes worries me.

thanks all...
