DD bleeding from ear/mouth/nose?

I'm going into panic mode for one main reason - DD (17) is going to South Africa for two months on Friday.

She had a nose bleed a couple of days ago. This morning there was a patch of blood on her pillow (size of a 2p coin), but who knows which orifice it came from. She then coughed a tiny little clot up when she cleaned her teeth. (Sorry - tmi).

Any idea what it could be?

Sorry - I can't think logically - should I be rushing her off to the gp, or just wait and see if anything else develops?

It's a nose bleed. And the after math.

Nose bleeds are a regular occurance in this house, and I am all too familiar with big clots of blood comming out of my childrens moths, much to their delight. >

And I'm for ever washing pillow cases.

Panic not.

So it's not her brain or a stomach ulcer!!! .

Thanks Lynette - just getting my knickers in a twist over nothing.

My brother still coughs up clots after nose bleeds. He's had nose bleeds all his life, really bad when he was a teenager. Don't panic! If she's feeling otherwise well and not in pain then I am sure she's fine.
