I have a fuzzy twitchy upper lip...

..diagnose me please

It is a touch red, but not sore to touch, a little bit swollen in the middle of the 'bud' of the upper lip, and it is throbbing/fuzzy/twitching. It was intermittent but now it is most of the time.

I have tried to think of what food I might have eaten to irritate it, but can't think what it could be.

Cold sore.

nope, not a cold sore. I have those from time to time, in the same place. This feels deeper, like the muscle is twitching/throbbing, not the skin. the redness is from a slight swelling rather than the red of a cold sore.

Could be an ulcer in your mouth causing swelling?

woodlandfaerie · 05/07/2010 20:01

Nope, not an ulcer, there is nothing painful on either side of the mouth, not bashed it

DH said maybe like a nervous tick in the eye, but instead on the lip? , as you can actually see it twitching.
