Periods after BF- how long did it take for them to return to 'normal'?

DD is 10.5 months old and is now only having 2 very small BF per day. I had my first period 5 weeks ago and it was really heavy and painful.

I have not had another period since and just wondered how long it had taken other peoples cycles to return to normal?

Before anyone asks... 5 negative pregnancy tests would suggest I'm not pregnant...as much as I was hoping for a positive

Between DD and DS - they didn't - I got pregnant before they managed to hit. With DS six months - first three were absolutely terrible but all sorted out after that - just normal, in fact lighter than before now.

I started a thread on this here the other week, and got some good relplies, mine started today after being three weeks late!

Good to hear they're lighter now... am hoping number 2 will be on the way soon so I won't have too many more!

Thanks esme was good stuff there. Feels like my period is years late as I've been looking out for it as I really wanted to be pregnant... not that I'm inpatient or anything!

still bfing and they came back when ds was 28 months.

pretty regular since - hormones a bit up and down but same length of cycle as before (too short!)
