Its only for a filling because I am such a wimp.

I am so nervous.

Does anyone know how long I will feel the effects of the sedation for? I know I can't drive or work for 24 hours after but will I feel ok tomorrow to walk to the local shop and potter round the house?

Will I sleep when I get home from the dentist?

Does it make you feel sick?

Urgh

Thank you.

I think I am displacing my dentist fear onto sedation fear. Hmmm.

I can deal with a bit groggy I think.

Good Luck with the dentist, no nothing to worry about, just take it easy.
I am like you I would rather visit the Gyneacologist then the dentist

DH had it and needed assistance walking to the car/house and slept for the rest of the day really. Woke at teatime for some food. It did make him lose most of the day from his memory though so can only remember getting the iv.

You'll be fine

I had it a few years ago, it was great! Dh said he could hear me laughing while I was having my tooth out, I don't remember anything! I slept for a few hours after but I was fine the next day. Don't worry you'll be fine xx

Thank you

Two hours to go, very scared and nervous

I work in a hospital and people have been giving me horror stories.

Can you eat after having a filling ? I am not allowed to eat and I am HUNGRY so hoping to eat something afterwards.

You should be able to eat after but you'll probably have a numb mouth so it might be a good idea to get some soup or yoghurt.

I was terrified before I went, I'm so frightened of the dentist I'd waited until I was literally going crazy from the pain! Theres honestly nothing to worry about, you'll just feel really relaxed and you won't care about the filling xx

I wanted to update this to say it was amazing!

I felt calm and they put the cannula in asap and got started so I had no chance to feel scared! Felt like I had been asleep when they told me it was finished.

Was a bit wibbly for a few hours afterwards but feel fab today.

So v.g
