Allergies developed after pregnancy...?

'The fountain of knowledge' lady at work today looked at me with her head to the side and said 'Hayfever?'.
I said 'Yes, its awful today. I've only just developed it recently. The last 3 summers, in fact.'
She did the head to one side thing again and said 'Since you had DS, hey?'
'Well, yes I guess so, he's 3 this summer and I've had it for 3 summers!'
She did that all-knowing face and nodded. Then said nothing more...

Is that a well known thing that I just missed?
Is it normal to get allergies after a baby?

I've never had an allergy to anything in my life til now!

I got allergic to penicillin. Never had a problem before.

I've suffered from a skin allergy since having DS1 nearly 8 years ago. The cold, stress and those disposable gloves all bring my hands out itchy, cracked and very sore.

I'd never had a problem prior to this.

Hmmm, maybe she was right then!

Wish it'd sod off though, had enough of bloody hayfever now!
Do you think if I have another baby it'll balance me back out!?
