Feeling so sleepy and generally woozy

Have resortede to anti-histamines for hay fever and I know it can make you drowsy but it never has before. is it likely to be this? I literally keep drifting off at my desk

What kind are you using? I find that piriton makes me sleepy but clarityn/loratadine is not so bad.

If you've tried the various over-the-counter ones and they all make you sleepy, you could ask a GP for prescription-only ones - the best one I've found is fexofenadine, which you can buy over-the-counter in some countries under the name Telfast - seems much more effective and less snooze-inducing (at least for me) than the over-the-counter ones here.

It is piriton exexpat. The odd thing is that I've never had this feeling before with piriton but then again I rarely have had to use it as much - this year seems much worse for hf.

Than maybe try loratadine first? That's definitely meant to be non-drowsy compared with piriton. Sainsbury's does own-brand ones for £1 for 14 last time I looked - cheaper and easier than going to the GP for a prescription...
