At 41 I've just had my first filling - went OK and my mouth is still pretty numb, but I can kind of feel the filling on top of my teeth - is this usual and will that feeling go away? When I bite my teeth together it's there - my bite feels different - aaarrgghhh...!

My mouth is nearly all filled you lucky thing. The feeling will go away

Hope you're okay DottyDot! It will feel odd for a while as is "higher" than level of rest of your teeth. Give it a few days and your teeth will grind it down so it's level with your others!

Thanks - I've been messing with it all day! It's a bit sharp but OK - and my jaw's really sore...

(god I'm such a baby - good job my teeth are usually rock solid! )

If its sharp or uncomfortable, go back to the dentist and ask him/her to smooth it off for you - very small procedure done in minutes, no LA required. But it may just need a little bit of getting used to.

Congrats on having excellent teeth - I am

honestly it's just genes and nothing to do with the crap stuff I eat - they've always been like bricks! The dentist always used to assume I didn't eat sweets - hahahahahaha

Will give it a couple of days but might go back and be princess-y - it's still sharp!
