I don't have any tonsils. So why do my tonsils hurt????

Hmm?? I feel awful, ear achey and ill, and my tonsils hurt. Except, I had them removed 3 years ago. DId they forget them and take my spleen instead? Is it possible to still have tonsil pain when there are no tonsils to speak of?? Someone please diagnose me, I haven't felt this bad since my last bout of tonsillitus, which I thought I had put behind me.

you can still get sore throats without tonsils - maybe it is just a really bad sore throat in the region of where your tonsils used to be

Hate to tell you, but it is still possible to get tonsillitus even after having them removed.

I think there will be vestiges of tonsil beds that can be inflamed. Go to the doctor.

Shite. Well, I still feel ill today so I've booked in for tomorrow. All that pain and I can still get tonsillitus Grumble grumble, I want my money back, etc
